Returning Yeah yeah yeah For a decade I was asleep On a pulpy-mash bed, Rollin’ over & well fed Crystalline fears & static on my TV. Grindin’ my gears down to nubs, Corpulent & armed In the “Land of the Free.” Post-post modern “I don’t give a fuck” Fidgeting on my phone Tuned in to the din & drone, Din & drone, din & drone. Did the record skip? Do you know history? Your gonna repeat it. Take two of these & Call me in the morning. Cocaine hangovers & Taylor Swift. Bourgeois callouses & tennis wrist. But fuck it all anyway. I’m shaking my cage En route to the military parade, Sick from too much masturbating. YO SOY HE-MAN. Return of the Lazer Viking. Don the helmet Board the bus Mile after mile Fades to rust. Don the helmet Board the bus Mile after mile Fades to rust. Transmission to the divine children: I have awakened from my slumber. I am awake! I am awake! (We are awake) Brush your teeth, Resuscitate, Shaking beef to Consummate Brush your teeth, Resuscitate, Shaking beef to Consummate The alarm clock rings! When you wake in the morning, Tell your parents you found the new way.

about

The first An Albatross release since their 2008 full length "The Family Album."

Lyrics for the title song were written in 2017 by vocalist Edward B. Gieda III and his late wife, Amanda Medina, to whom the EP is lovingly devoted in memory. The EP foreshadows today’s social upheaval and demand for justice and equality.

Thank you to our loved ones and our fans that have given us love and support for 21 years. All proceeds from the song “Mort Bleu” will be donated to Black Lives Matter Philadelphia.
